Kestrel Inheritance Solution Tax (KITS) is a discretionary investment management service aimed at reducing individual inheritance tax liabilities. Kestrel also offers this Inheritance Tax Solution via an ISA.
KITS is for UK-based individuals whose estates are expected to be valued significantly in excess of the nil-rate band and who are willing to accept the higher risks associated with investing in AIM companies in order to try to reduce their inheritance tax liability.
Kestrel invests your portfolio but you retain beneficial ownership of all investments, putting you in control.
In order to obtain the tax relief your portfolio will be invested in AIM-listed companies eligible for Business Property Relief. After two years, the shares should not attract any inheritance tax liability, generating a tax saving of 40%. The Kestrel Inheritance Tax Solution is managed by Stuart Rollason with all investments monitored by the KITS Investment Committee comprising Ari Zaphiriou-Zarifi (chair), Stuart Rollason, Max Royde, and Oliver Scott.
KITS invests in established growing companies that are profitable and cash generative, led by strong management teams. We seek out companies with good revenue visibility, strong balance sheets and the ability to pay dividends.
The investment objective of KITS is to balance financial returns with sustainable growth. KITS portfolios will typically consist of between 10 to 30 companies which will be selected for their long term potential.
KITS should be regarded as a higher risk investment and we recommend you seek advice from an intermediary before considering whether it is a suitable investment for you. Kestrel cannot advise you whether KITS is a suitable investment for you.
